Montreal. Que., ,July 30 -At the eastern
abattoir market this morning about 600 head
of cattle, 350 sheep and lambs and 200 hogs
were offered. There won little change in the
condition of the market. Last Thursday's low
prices 'still provided and trade was very dull.
There was little Or no inquiry for export; best
butchers cattle did not bring over 3 1-2o per
pound today, and secondary stock was quoted
at from 2 3.4e to 31-20, with lower grades at
from 2c to 2 1.2e: Small meats were also slow
of sale. Following is the general range of
quotations:
Cattle -Butcher's, choice, per pound, 3 1.20
live weight; do medium to fair do, 234 to
