He has, however, sus- tained a heavy loss. Fortunately, it hap. paned in daytime, for had it occurred during- the night, the result might have been more serious. As it was, the fire spread over the dwelling so rapidly that very little clothing or other articles were saved. It was one of the oldest relics of log homes* in West Wiwanosh. L. Mc- Taggart and Miss Emilia Dickson were united en marriage last week, at the residence of friends on Hancock avenue. Only the immediate friends of the bride and groom were invited. The presents received were both num- erous and costly. The happy couple are now at home at 198 Twelfth street." Dr. McTaggart is a son of Mr. H. N. McTaggart, postmaster at Chiselhurst, and is one of Detroit's clever and rising young physicians.
