"No Trouble" Burned to Death.
MONTREAL, Feb. 6.-A fire broke out
last night in the exchange stables at Point
St. Charles. The fire was not of much
slonsequence, but it resulted in the loss of
a valuable horse " No Trouble," owned by
Burke, of Ottawa, which was hero to
race in the Jacques Cartier races, and was
burned to death. "No Trouble" was a
very fast horse, being the winner of- the
217 at Ottawa, and was entered inthe
grain e class here. "Money Maldrunother
horse owned by Mr. Burke, was also badly
burned,

During the week English wheats have fallen
65, and American and Rusaian 1a, Corn and
barley have declined 6d. aud oats have been
depressed. To -day the tone of the market
was better. Wheats were firmer, fine English
wheats advanoi-g to ass: malting barley ad-
vanced 65: flour WOB tdOW: corn sad oats were
steady. Cotton seed declined is 3d per ton.

about equal to the shelving at this time lest
y ear, but is a ootssiderahle decrease from the
past week. The local offerings are light, and
the demand confined to slew small lots, sellers
said to be in a comfortable position regarding
western., and are not making any efforts to
dispose of what they have on hand; Canada
prices, which were a little too high, have
been reduced, but,do not yet appear to be with-
