of barley during the past week: Stooks in

consumption is much greater than during
the season alma rear to this date. Stocks in
store here are 1;129,392 bu as against 1,363,084

creased stooks are reported from Milwaukee,,
Detroit and ell rneapolie, and at no point is an
inorease ehownn. The market is quiet. Cheat,
barley is scarce, and what little call ,there was
it was for (het class: The lowest offering was
W93 at 58 1-o, a small lot.- Seller° are asking

660 head of butchers' cattle, .500 head of sheep.
and lambs and 20 calves offered for vale at the
East End Abattoir to -day, Trade was dull.
and prices even lower than the row figures of
last Thursday and the almost certainty of a
larger number of cattle remaining unsold. A
few of the best boei:ee sold at about See veries
with pretty good stock at from 21e to 310 nor'
pound. Scrub bulla sold at about 2c per ib.'
and large well bred bulls at from 24e to 310 do••
A lot of large, fat cows were sold at 310 do..
Mr. Beurasra paid alt 30 for 2 superior calves •
and 55.40 for seven other:. Small calves sold
acfrom 83 to. 85 each. Shippers were not
buying any sheep to -day, owing to lack of

nor lb, and mixed lots at about 310 do. Fat
