Sharon.
Tem Boow-Few people who reside
in other parts of the country are
evrare what a boom Sharon has taken
in the past year, and to give the people
an idea of what a fine flourishing burg
we have I will attempt to describe in
part a few of the advantages deriv-
ed in living within its precincts.
Sharon is beautifully located just five
miles from 'Exeter, about .four miles
from Crediton and about the same
distance from Dashwood, so we
have three good markets for our
produce and all easy of access. The
land is of the finest for all agricultural
pursuits and in fact is much sought
atter. be.ing divided mostly in fifty -
acre farms, which commands a :high
figure whenever sold. The people
are very nearly all Protestants and of
the Methodist creed, haying a church
located here with the Rev. Geo.
Baker as minister, and are noted for
harmony in working together 'and for
eaoh other. Then we have a publics
school that is in high standing, with a
very good attendance of scholars with
Miss Lida Hall as teacher. Water can
be had in abundance at a depth of 20
az.1 which is of mineral nature and
very, " a '" v having the least num-

besides, a lodge of the Patrons at

financially end otherwise and is devot-
ed to tbe interests of agriculture to
all its branches. Anybody wishing a
desirable spot to iloeate any branch
of business, or :to erect a home in
which to spend their declining years
in peace and tranquility, we can highly
recommend Sharon, and all conamun-
ications relating thereto should be
addressed to Mr. J. S. Amy, who wilt
be pleased to give any information
and assist you in selecting a desirable
spot to locate.
