.SRfere.--It is with the deepest re-

of our beloved villagers, ia,tbe person
of Maud Sykes. A week ago Iast
Sunday sbe complained of being un.
well, through the week she was ap-
parently the same, until Saturday
when she took a change for the worse.
All that medical aid could do for her
was of no ayait, and she passed peace-
fully away early Sunday morning, She
was an estimable young lady, beloved
by all who know her, and her sudden
and unexpected death has caused a
deep gloom sn the village. The
funeral left Mondry morning at 9
