in health, and it is expected that be will

In the case of Nora Smith, the Balmoral
Hotel housekeeper, who died about a
month ago in Toronto under mysterious
circumstances, it was shown at the inquest
Monday night that the woman had died
from mercury poison,and some sensational
developments are expected.
A little child of Mr and Mrs Thomas
Spence, of Brantford, had a very narrow
eeoape from being scalded to death Satur
day afternoon. Ho fell backward into a
kettle of boiling water, but was caught by
Mr Spence, and also scalded severely; ,the
injuries are not thought to be at all
serious.

propose to introduce a hill to impose a
