To the Editor of the Exeter Times,
I see in the Goderich Star of last
Week what purports to be the law re-
garding stray cattle ; also in the Ad-
vocate of two or three weeks ago, and
in nearly all comity and city papers the
same article regarding stray. etierae. As
the law given in :mid article, for the
euidance of parsons taking up or har-
bouring stray etttle, is so different from
my idea of the statutes relating to stray
cattle that I would deetn it an act of
justtce to the public if some of the
papers that have published such article
would give their authority viz., year,
chapter. section, etc. I contend that
said article -is entirely at fault, that 111 18
not in. the consolidated statutes of 1887.
nor any of the statutes since. Now, if
I am wroug, for the good of the public,
I wish to be put right.-
