Ontario Hydro hasn't ruled relations. Several experts
out the possibility of a third
nuclear power generating
station at the Bruce Nuclear
Power Development Douglas
Point site, it was learned last
week. ,
Speaking to a gathering of
news media representatives,
Sam Horton said that it "isn't
being denied," He quickly
added, however, that there
has been no commitment on
the part of Hydro to b'i'le
Bruce C.
There f"" are seve'r.a't,
arguments for and against
, such a proposal, he said.
"Included in the disad-
vantages is the old argument
about "putting call your eggs
in one basket."
Having several power
generating stations on one
site would mean that they
would all be affected by 'such
problems as strikes, ice
storms downing transmission
lines and expensive waste
removal.
He was answering one of
several questions posed by
reporters at a daylong
conference on Hydro -media
Kidnap Santa Claus, and a
Christmas Message. Mrs.,
Buchanan expressed the
appreciation of the residents.
A. group of young people
"The Calvinettes" sang
carols through the Home on
Tuesday evening and
presented gifts to some of the
residents who don't have
immediate relatives. -
Thirty 'Grade 7 students of
the Robertson Public School,
Goderich presented a
Christmas concert on Wed-
•,nesday 'aftern.00n. David
Kemp directed,.the program
and accompanied the
students for the singing of
several.Christmas Carols.
_.Thepoetry part of the
program included all of the
students with each one taking
a part of the verse. .
Mrs. Doak, whd is a great
grandmother of a pupil at
Robertson School, thanked all
those taking part on behalf of
the residents.

fielded questions on subjects
ranging from radioactivity to
4he need for 'better com-
munication between Hydro
and the media:
One r; series of 'questions
resulted in Elgin Horton
saying that radioactivity
levels at Bruce A 'plant,
scheduled to go into operation
early next year, would be
lower than either Pickering,
or the original Douglas Point
Statl.
