What Christmas
Means to Me
I feel that Christmas is one
of the most exciting times of
the year. I enjoy giving gifts
just as much as receiving
them. We must never forget
the •real meaning of Christ-
mas. We are celebrating
Christ s Birthday on this day.
Christmas, has become so
commercialized that
sometimes we forget the
Meaning. Santa Clauses
everywhere and to see how
much money. you can spend is
not Eche right thing.
So this Christmas think for
whom and why - we are
celebrating it.

What Christmas
Means to Me
Christmas is the birth of,...
Christ ,Long long. ago kri 'a°
small town a baby was born
his name was Jesus.
That's why on Dec..25 every
year we celebrate his bir-
thday. We. give gifts to those
we love as the wise men gave
to Jesus.
Over the
meaning of
ears the true
Christmas has
been forgo ton by most
people.
You' shouldn't be worrying
about what your going to get
Mom and what your going to
getDad
Christmas is a time to
remember what Christmas
really means. .

All of us have heard of the
old English Christmas carol
which tells 'of the tw#ve gifts
sent by a "true love!' to his
lady fair. In 15th century
England partridges,. calling
birds, drummers, etc. truly
would have made interesting
and unusual 'gifts for the
,person who had everything!
The grade 5 & 6 students of
room 208 at Victoria Public
School, have come up, with
someinteresting versions of
---'the carol if it had been written
in the 20th century.

0 Christnias Tree'
Once there was a pine tree,
Who lived - in a meadow,
blowing free
Men came chopped him
down,
And hulled him to town
People rushed by
Drinking rye
I stopped and looked around
And a fivg.dollar 1 found
I looked back and forth
South and north
There I was(face to face,
With five dollar pine tree.
I ran to dad
And back we raced
The tree we bought
And on the way home,
The tree's limb. got cough
When we got home,
It•looked like it was corned
And a star on his head
And all of us said'
0 Christmas Tree!

What Child is this, why,.
He has not yet;uttered a cry
Jesus was Born
I esus was born in I3ethlehemn,
In a stable near.
Mary as the mother.
Joseph as the father.
Surrounding Jesus were the
animals.
Yelling with joy, because it
was a little'boy•
And a shining star started to
shine ,
Through the wind and the
Pine
And so we celebrate the birth
of -Jesus,
With a thing. called C'Hr•ist-
mas.
The little old man so lively.
His name is St Nicholas,
He brings us' presa'nts and
they are'nt ridiculous

Who Did It
It all started when we came
downstairs' Christmas
morning, blabbering over
.what we thought we were
going to get. All of 'a sudden
we looked under the tree and,
'saw the biggest box your eyes
'could behold! "Wow!" we.
exclaimed when we opened it.
