Haggitt. Provincial Honours

Brookside School staff held
their annual Christmas party
on December 12 at Vanastra
Centre with a turkey dinner
followed by dancing to the
music of a disc jockey from
London.
The Sunday School par-
ticipate& in..the.,church ser-
vice o.n'Sunday for White Gift
Sunday in Dungannon United
Church. Their topic, . was
'Christmas Legends and
Customs. The theme of the
service was "Treasures" and
the S.S. superintendent,
shared the pulpit with the
minister, Rev. H.G. Dobson.

weekend with their grand-
mother, Mrs. Mary Bere and „
family.
A family group of ten from
London, including three
great-grandchildren brought
Christmas dinner to Mr. and
Mrs. 'Russell Johnston and
enjoyed a family reunion on
Sunday with them.

welcomed the 21 adults and 10
children, and following Grace
by the Rev. Harold Dobson all
were invited to help them-
selves from the well -laden
smorgasbord and then he
seated at the prettily
decorated tables. A lovely
large poinsettia plant added
to the Christmas theme.
A film, "The Littlest
Camel" gave the Christmas
story to the children while the
committee cleared the tables.
Mrs. Roy Wintemute
assisted with the gift ex-
change, and Mrs. Logtenberg
gave candy canes t.o the
children.
The devotional part of the
meeting with the theme,
"Love Came Down at
Christmas' was conducted
by Mrs. Wilfred Pentland;
and Mrs. Graham McNee.
who read, "Keeping Watch".
Several carols, It Came Upon
a Midnight Clear, Infant Holy
and 0 Come, All Ye Faithful,
were interspersed with the
suitable readings.
Mrs. Leonard Reed was
pianist., Offering was
received and prayer closed
this part of the meeting.
' The election of officers for
1976, and installation of same
was conducted by Rev. Mr: H.
Dobson' who based his
message on Eph;esians 4: 1-7,
11-13.
Mrs. Deck Logtenberg, the
new president, asked for the
co-operation of all, and God's
help to make the work in the
community and church ef-
fective.

the minutes and
