Atoms manage tie in two
The Suncoast Estates
Atoms were involved ,in two
close games last week, ,but
managed to salvage,only one
point out of a possible four in
WOAA league action.
Thursday, in ..Kincardine,
the Suns droppe'd a 4-3
decision to the Kincardine
Beavers. The Suns held a 3-2
lead after two periods, but
two unanswered goals in the
third period gave the Beavers
the win.
Playing at home Saturday,
the Suns battled to a 1-1 tie
with Listowel in a crowd -
pleasing game.
Eddie de la Paz and Dave
Petteplace scored two goals
each for Kincardine.
Brad Armstrong had two
,.goals for the Suns and John
Thompson scored once and
had one assist. Ken F eagan
•had two assists for Goderich.
The Suns played good
defensive. hockey against
Listowel in their 1-1 draw.
Listowel had defeated
Goderich 6-0 in their first
meeting, so this game was
obviously an improved effort
for the Suns.
Mark Crawford scored the
only Goderich goal midway
through ,the second- period.
Brad It.'oghlen got the
equalizer for the Cyclones
with just over five minute
`remainir g in the game.,
. Referees Bil Lowis and
Paul Schaefer called a total of
eight minor penalties, five of
thein going to the Cyclones
In ten It•,rgo i.'.ror,• , the
Suns have five wins, tour
losses and a tie. Including
exhibition games. the Suns
have won nine, lost four and
tied one.

Suns is here tomorrow
