get their letters to the
Goderich post office to ensure
delivery prior to December
The December 13, deadline
for out-of-town mail has been
set by the post office to allow
sufficient time to moven the
barrage of season mail to its
destinations. Mail destined
for in town delivery can be
held until December 17,
Goderich .postmaster Mel
Farnsworth •said this week
that his office has cleared out
the backlog of mail caused by ,
the recent national postal
strike and is ready ,for the
Christmas rush, He said that
the Goderich workers process

town mail during the festive
rush and about the same
amount arrives here for
street delivery.
The postmaster explained
that there should be no
problem delivering the" extra
mail on, time provided,, it is
addressed correctly, has.,
sufficient postage and is

Christmas cards are con-
sidered third class mail and
can he sent in or out of town
with a six -Gent stamp.
"If the customers” want the
card to qualify for air service
then they must use an eight
cent stamp for first class,"
said Mr. Farnsworth.
He added that the third
class mail should be
processed but if any problem
developed that delayed the "
mail, then the first class
' pieces would get priority-
from,the post office.

the mail handling systeni

cards will b'e delivered to

localities across Ontario will
he postponed.
The daze for the return of
assessment rolls has now
hecn extended from
December 16, 1975 to J anu;ary,,
21, 1976 and asse'i.sment
notices will be delivered to all
assessed people on J anuary

assessment rolls are returned
to municipalities. •

Review Courts has been

ensure delivery on time for
