Sailors edg....Clintoii BY JACK CUIVIMINC4S Goderich Sailors edged Clinton Colts last Wednesday in Goderich by a score of 4-2, then lost a tough game on Sunday to the Sunoco's 6-3 in Port Elgin, In the game played here,,,it was a penalty -filled contest, with over 60 minutes in minor penalties called," plus two major misconducts against Clinton. Only goal in the first was ' by defenceman Ron Sowerby giving the Sailors a 1-0 lead, this coming at the 19:51 mark, unassisted. Tom . Crawford strengthened the Sailiors lead as he combined with Gord Maclntyre to'` •make it 2-0 early in the .second period. Fifteen minutes went by before Clinton managed to score as they picked up two quick goals, Davidson and Burns were the marksmen who beat Rob Kellestine. Sailors tie -breaking 'goal came with only three seconds remaining in the period, as John DeColling picked' up a loose puck and fired it past Fleistha•ven. Final period was' marred with several roughing, and slashing penalties plus the two majors and one misconduct to the Clinton Colts.
