Moore. Other goals were ---by
Frazer Abbott and Steve
Profit, both unassisted. Mike

won its first dual meet of the
Huron -Perth Conference
season last T ursday•,
defeating Seaforth, -70-18, in
Seaforth.

Goderich Sailors edged
Clinton Colts last Wednesday
in Goderich by a score of 4-2,
then lost a tough game on
Sunday to the Sunoco's 6-3 in
Port Elgin,
In the game played here,,,it
was a penalty -filled contest,
with over 60 minutes in minor
penalties called," plus two
major misconducts against
Clinton. Only goal in the first
was ' by defenceman Ron
Sowerby giving the Sailors a
1-0 lead, this coming at the
19:51 mark, unassisted.
Tom . Crawford
strengthened the Sailiors lead
as he combined with Gord
Maclntyre to'` •make it 2-0
early in the .second period.
Fifteen minutes went by
before Clinton managed to
score as they picked up two
quick goals, Davidson and
Burns were the marksmen
who beat Rob Kellestine.
Sailors tie -breaking 'goal
came with only three seconds
remaining in the period, as
John DeColling picked' up a
loose puck and fired it past
Fleistha•ven.
Final period was' marred
with several roughing, and
slashing penalties plus the
two majors and one
misconduct to the Clinton
Colts. Final goal by the
Sailors was .by Mike Courtney
who combined i with John
DeColling and John Fenwick
to make the final score 4-2.
Sun'day's contest; in Port
Elgin, the Sailors managed to
score the only goal in the first

The Lakeport Steel Ban-
tams .beat- Mt. Forest last
Monday night for the second
time. Half way through the
second period they came
from a 2-1 deficit to win the
game 5-2. • _

The Ilderton tournament
/was a big day on Saturday for
the Steelers as they met their
first competition at 4;30 and
were defeated 3-1 by St.
Marys. The only Goderich
goal in this hard hitting anal •
skating game was scored by
Larry Madge late in the third
period assisted by Danny'
Maillet and Randy Stoddart.
It was early to rise Sunday
morning for -the Bantams as •
they played a 10,a.m. game in
the London Gardens against a

Saturday December 6th. Bill
Gardiner presented the prizes
donated by the Sheaffer Pen
Company.
