At the recreation meeting held Wednesday, • November 26, the Goderich township recreation, council really didn't expect an avalanche of volunteers responding to the newspaper ad request, but had lioped' for, maybe a few more, We are therefore grateful. for one leader each in the fallowing three sports, boys' hockey, volleyball for grade nine and up, and cross country skiing. It is easy to realize that it would not be fair to these' leaders- to handle their jobs alone. Please, are there any oth'ers' who' will give us a hand? You don't have to be an, expert, just an interested helper. If there is further, response, regitration will follow im- mediately. The wedding supper was at th,e home of the bride's grandparents with the reception in Chesley Legion Hall. Guests were present from Nova Scotia, Kitchener, Goderich, Wroxeter and Chesley. ' 4-H The Tiger' Dunlop 4-H Groups are busy making plans for skits and exhibits they will be presenting at 'Achievement Day, December 13 at Brookside School, Leaders will soon be able to add another project to their list of ichievements. Mrs. Gerald (Dorothy) Feagan was one of the Leaders from Colborne Twp. that had-- led several 4-H groups who was a guest of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food at the Royal Winter, Fair, There ' were ap- proximately 750 leaders that • were .entertained during the week of Oct. 17 at the Royal. Mrs. Feagan was one of 325 4-H leaders who were the guests of the Ministry on November 20 ' and 21. Accommodation was at the Lord Simcoe Hotel and special breakfast was served at the hotel with the Hon. Mr. Newman, Minister of Agriculture and Mrs. Newman at the head table. Mr. Newman in his' address praised 4-H work, and told the leaders there are 16,000 4-H members in Ontario. He said 90 percent finish each prpject and the 6,000 leaders. have done a wonderful job. This last project "Let's Bake Bread" has reeeived great interest and the parents of the 4-H .girls have also shown keen interest. She was attended by Linda Hakkers as matron of honor, Helen Hak -kers as bridesmaid and Evelyn Hakkers as flower gni, all sisters of the groom. and Christopher Joseph Shaw, brother of the ' bride, as ringbearer, Robert 'Bechard, friend of the groom was best man while John Blok, friend of the groom, and Gary Hakkers, brother, of the groom, acted as ushers. After the wedding a family dinner was held at the Auburn Community Hall. The bride's, mother., dressed in a long - gown of green chiffon with a" corsage of red roses and the groom's- mother wearing a long blue gown with a corsage of pink roses, received the guests.
