did on the first wagon. Such is
the risk of an auction sale.
Wondering how he fared out
for ,the day, the farmer heads
back to the house with the
auctioneer to balance the
books after the final sale.
Worried that he has' lost
Money the farmer adds up the
selling .figures across his list
of items, to see if the total is
anything near the figure he
had estimated to call his sale
successful.
"The bidding on that small,
tractor was incredible," the
auctioneer may mutter. "I
was wondering if anyone had
any money until we sold the
sprayer. The guy that bought
that must have really wanted
it no matter what it cost
him."
The end result is that while
some items sold for far less
than they were worth others
excelled their value. The
auctioneer has some concern
about the prices since his
percentage of the sale price
may be down along with the
sale price
The farmer may lean back
in his chair after the books
are balanced and say,
"$48,000, Ldidn't do too bad".
Meanwhile in another
house somewhere the man
who has bought the new farm
is leaning back', in his chair
saying, "$48,000 1 spent today
for equipment for the new
farm, I didn't do too bad."

With Christmas just around
the corner, folks are all
starting to plan their shop -
arrangement of white shasta
daisies.
The bride's, sister Lynn
Glazsher was matron of
honour. She wore a long gown
of jade green crepe and
carried yellow shasta daisies.
The groom's sisters Carolyn
MacDonald and Brenda
MacDonald were
bridesmaids and also wore
jade green crepe and carried
yellow shasta daisies,
The bride's cousins, Kevin
Kerr and his sister Heather,
acted as ringbearer and
flowergirl respectively.
The wedding reception was
held at the Conray . -lotel in
Toronto.
The bride is the youngest

The manufacturers have
said that parents are buying
fewer toys now and are
looking closer for quality and
to make sure they are getting
their money's worth.
Other years stores had 90
percent of their toy orders in
by Hallowe'en'but this year it
was, down to 75 percent. The
trend this year seems to point
towards hobby kits, crafts
and games. .
One of the new dolls is
called Baby Alive. She
drinks, eats and then messes
in her diaper. After raising
kids, do mothers really need
that around?
Evil Knievel is hot. Boys
who broke theirs last year are
asking for them again.
Then there is the Six Million
Dollar Man -With a bionic eye.
