Co., Limited, 'of Goderich,
manufacturers of the
Champion Motor Grader,
reached another milestone in
its history on Monday, of this
week, when employee
number 1,000 was placed on
the company's payroll. He is
Raymond K. Black, an
assembly fitter.
In 1945, when the company
was purchased by its present
owners, the Sully family, it
"fid -a total of 65 employees.
Through planned growth and
solid management, .n the
company has expanded over
the years to its present size
while establishing itself in-
ternationally. f1

In conjunction with ' the
increased number of em-
ployees, the production of
graders has also increased
from 52 in 1945 to the current
annual total of 1250 units off
the assembly line,

of hourly wage rates show a,
range of .45c to .90c in'1945 as

hourly range of $3.98 to $7:36.
