ladies plan
opening tea
The Legion Ladies of
Branch 109 have begun their
fall meeting schedule and are
planning an old fashioned tea
when community residents
and friends will be invited to -
the Legion's new quarters to
see what changes have been
made ,during the building
program.
A draw for a Christmas
cake and a mohair throw will
provide funds for the a as
well as for 'War morial.
Sick Children's Hospital fund:.
A summer draw for an
apple blossom quilt was won
by Mrs. Ev. Ford of Owen
Sound. Winners of the
grocery basket and the dried
flower arrangement ,,,during
the Celebration '75 ' events
were Water Mero and John
Overholt. `
A busy fall and winter
schedule is anticipated by the
Legion Ladies in order to
finance the many proJ,ects of
the Legion, including the new
addition which will enable the
local Legion to' .serve the
community`in a bigger and
better way.
New Co-op
store opens.

gone hand in hand with the
completion of a new $100,000
farm supply co-operative
store . at Belgrave officially
opened October 16.
The 3,000 square foot, CO-
OP store will house . the
conventional line of CO-OP
hardware items, plumbing
supplies, work "clothing and
footwear as well as
automotive supplies and
major home appliances.
The project was a result of
local, 'support. and a com-
:prehensive market' research
study done by United Co-
operatives of Ontario's retail
staff.
