Branch 109 begin planning
for legion's Jubilee Year
The September meeting of
Legion Branch 109 was held in
the main fluor lounge with
President Edward Tonics in the`
chair.
The membership :chairman
Comrade •'HIarvey, Johnston
presented four applications for
membership in the Branch:—l57'
McPherson and P. King were ,
accepted as ordinary members
and J. McMurray and Wm.
Mcisaac .Were accepted as
associate member`s.
Members of the 13ranch are
to note that the Branch general
meeting has : been changed
from the third Tuesday of each
month to the first Tuesday of
the month. .The executive
meeting will be held,on'the last
Tuesday of the ,month- as of
September .1975.

Low reported that the addition
to .,the Legion Hall is
progressing favorably and
should be completed by
October 26, The second floor
' will accommodate 250 persons -
for a banquet and 210 persons
• for a dance. The main floor has
facilities for 83 persons in the
outh area and 85 •iii the north
fee schedule has
been prepared a..nd, in all cases,
the Legionz,will operate the bar
facilities 'and 'the' Ladies'
Auxiliary will dothe catering..
Comrade Low called the
attention of the membership to
the letter sent to.each member
.to encourage support of the
building fund as. soon as
'possible.
The meeting, after con-
siderable discussion, moved.to
place steel beams between the
first and second floor so that
the„space on the first floor may
be revised if such a situation
proves necessary. A three -
