CamDoig captures Sunset's men's tourney There is soniet,hing about the 'Sunset Golf and Country Club that suits Cam Doig's game. The young -Doig fashioned, a three under par 65 Wednesday to capture the Club's first annual' men's invitation and then battled the -rains on, even terms Friday winning the Junior invitation with a par 68. Doig shot nines 6f 33-32 Wednesday for a two stroke victory over Pan Lewis of Sarnia and Jim Smith and Paul Johnston both of Goderich who fired one under par`67's. Doig's round wassomewhat erratic though 'as 'he Managed six birdies for his three under par round, The Seaforth native birdied holes two, four and five on the front side and came in with birdies on 11, 12 and 17.. Despite heavy rains all,, day Friday in the junior event, Doig parted bothsides for his second victory of the week. Earlier this season Doig won the Seaforth and Port Elgin junibr invitations and tied for first in the4 Ontario Sectional Junior Qualifying round at Seaforth with a 70. He lost in a playoff: He participated in the Ontario Junior' Championship in Windsor and fired .rounds of 82-84.166. Randy Binkley captured the Men's Invitation low net honors with a net 62. Don Bedour •of .Goderich settled for first low net in A flight with a 63.,Leroy Bedour of Goderich captured the B flight gross honors with a 75 while Charlie Robertson took , the net with a 60. . v Earl Gorshew won the C flight by twortrokes over Frank Burdon of Michigan with: an 85. Al Durnin of Goderick3 captured the flight's net honors with a 61. Tim West and George Telford, both or -0 Bluewater Golf Course captured the 'no card division 'for players without a registered' O.G.A. handicap net gross and net honors respectively. In the junior tournament Steve Pavey of Goderich captured the low gross honors in the junior division while Wayne Forbes of -Indian Hills, Forest, won net. Monty Nor man of Hanover was low gross in the ,juvenile division while Dave Bedour of Goderich took net honors.
