The Busters capitalized on 12

The Goderich Midget Ladies
were eliminated Tuesday night
from theirleague playoffs but
not without' some good softball
and a.. little controversy: The
ladies bowed out to Stratford
after losing two'str•aight'in the
best of three semi final.
Goderich was well'ahead of
Stratford 6-1 in the third inning
when the festival city players
began protesting the equipment
worn by the Goderich pitcher'
Lori Keller. The protest con-
cerhed a white manufacturer's
mark on, the webbing of the
pitcher's glove. According to
the Stratford: complaints the
white circle on th'e glove, ap-
peared to the batters ,,as the
softball and they were having
trouble focusing on the pitched
ball.
After a quick check on the
rules, the protest was ruled
invalid but Keller, flustered by
the complaints, had lost the
form that had given her team
the lead. She • llowed two runs
to score befoff she was moved
