On Friday eyening they play at Lakeview Manor in`'Beaverton; Saturday afternoon at the 'Ontario Hospital in Orillia; and Sunday afternoon ,en the camp grounds for parents and friends. Music ranges from' classical to Broadway hits to rock, and provides something for everyone. As well as a ;large concert band, there is a stage `band, studio' band ,;and - small ensembles providing the musicians with an insight into all styles of performance. . Last fall, when the price for calves on the Toronto marked . . averaged 35.5c.per pound, and the farmers were operating at substantial loss, the only action taken by the • Provincial - Government . was 'a loan program that did ' nothing towards assuring our Ontario beef industry of ‘a more stable • future. : Most producers refuse to apply for the loans and sink farther into debt. Only 2& farmers applied and 10 of -the applications were rejected by the Government. With the beef -calf program consisting of the first of the government's promised income -assistarice programs,' we can only conclude that a truly ef- fective farm income -assurance plan that includes the whole cost of production will not come to pass.
