boats for the Canada Trust 100

Bend kicks off this Saturday
and should draw about 60 boats
from the area. The,.brand Bend
club is hosting the -100 mile race
that should take tiventy-four°to

Church . Women's Missionary -
Society Afternoon Auxiliary
was held in the Church Parlor
Tuesday, June( 1 .... The meeting
opened with .president Mrs.
Clayton Edward in the chair.
' The Yokahoma Nursery
School is a special, project for
W.M.S. Auxiliaries this year
-and the treasurer reported the
Knox group had given $22.0C` to
this cause to date.
Several of the members have ,
. been busy doing knitting for the
Canadian Save the Children
Fund and there was a splendid
display of knitted articles that
members, of the Auxiliary along
with other interested ,persons
had
had completed for this project.
Miss Ann Coulter sang twb
pleasing solos accomparited by
her sister Joan Coulter.
Mr. James Horton reported'
for Friendship and Service that
the members had made 25`
home, 21 hospital and 24 "
telephone calls during the
month. Report was given of the -
Blessing Box receipts which
was very gratifying.
