Acting as Senior Supervisor for the program this year is Brian Sachs of Listowel. Brian, who is a fourth year Fish and Wildlife. student at the University of Guelph, has just 8 completed the difficult task of hiring foremen and labourers for the three area crews. Blake Ferguson, oLGorrie, is the Senior Technician for the program. Blake is in his fourth •• year of study at the University of Guelph, majoring in Environmental Biology. The clerical position this year has been filled by Donna Greer of Lucknow. Donna has just graduated from Fanshawe College in London as a medical secretary. The Public Relations Co- ordinator for this year's program is John Elliott of Brussels. John is a second year student at. Durham College, Oshawa majoring in Public Relation's. Rick Earl from Atwood will. act as foreman for the crew that is situated in the Brussels ' area. 'Rick, a second year Architectural Technology student at FansF awe College, .London will be assisted by Canda^e Kidd, also of Atwood. • Candace is a third year Sociology student .at McMaster University in Hamilton. • The crew that will have their headquarters at, the Falls Reserve Conservation Area will work under Robert Datema, a second year Forestry student at Sir Sant - ford Fleming College in ..Lin-. dsa,y. Robert is frorn the Blyth - Auburn area. He will be assisted by Marilynne Wise, from the, ' Clinton area. An Ontario Hydro report shows primary energy demand of 7,059,291,000 kilowatt-hours during the month, 7.3 percent above the corresponding period in 1974. Peak electrical demand, was 12,464,000 kilowatts. This came at 7:25 p.m. Friday; April 4. More than 42 percent of total energy made available during April came from water power, 22.7 percent, coal, 12.8 percent uranium, 4.3 percent, natu:-al. gas and ' 17.7 percent, pur- chases. Hydro began its annual summer maintenance program during .the month and this resulted in a number of major generating units being out of service for varying periods of time. Unit 2 at Nanticoke remains off line following last summer's fire. Pickering 4 is out of ser- vice due to heavy water leaks in the closed collection' system and Unit 3 has .a malfunction in the generator cooling system.
