SUNSHINE SISTER secret Sunshine Sister on their

A province -wide roadside
survey of 6,000,Ontario drivers
as using their 'vehicle data -- warning system,
year of car; trip data, such as
distance from home .and trip
length; and passenger belt use.
The ,survey covered Ontario
by regions, including nor-
thwestern, northeastern,
western, eastern, 'central
(other than Toronto) and
Metropolitan Toronto.
It was found that people who
wore seat belts were often
driving late•model cars, on long
trips or away from home, or on
expressways.
Automatically -adjusted
three-point belt systems were
worn more frequently than
manual lap -and -shoulder belts.
- Twenty-four percent of the
cars surveyed were equipped
with the automatically -
adjusted belt systems. And in
this group of cars, twenty-
seven percent of the drivers
were wearing their belts. •
Thirty-eight percent of the
vehicles stopped were outfitted
with older -type. manual lap -
and -shoulder belts, and only
two per eent of the drivers of
these cars' were wearing both
belts.
- In Toronto it was found that
20.6 percent of those questioned
used their seat belts regularly.
In Sault Ste. Marie 7.9 percent
. were seat belt wearers; London
23.1 percent; Brockville '14.9
percent; Mississauga 22.4

Association or the North Middlesex Provincial Liberal
Riding Association, 72 hours prior:to the holding of the
nominating convention shall be eligible to vote. The con-
stitution also allows that any immediate past member of
these associations may renew his membership at the con-
vention, prior to the commencement of the voting.
