season with back to back
victories over Port Elgin. They
christened their season in Port
Elgin with a .close 6,-5 win and
returned to Goderich for their
home. opener Sunday blasting
Port 11-2.'
Jon Bari took the Mound in
the' firSt game striking out 10
batters on his way to his first
win. Port Elgin opened the
scoring,with a two run lead that
was cut back to 32 by the fifth
inning. Steve Davies smashed a
double late in the game with the
bases loaded to clinch the 6-5

Sunday's game in Gdderich
was a field ,day for the home
tearri. Tim McLean started the,'
gamj but had to be relieved in
the te innings. The infield was

runners on pick off plays' and
the offencei took control in the
early innings never looking
back. Goderich scored three
runs in the second, two in the
third and six in theseventh.
PIiiI Arthur led' his team in
hits with five and stolen bases
with seven .points on the two
games.
The midgets' next home
game is Sunday, June 8 at one
when they take on the league -
favorites, Seaforth.
