Hawaii was the theme this
year at the annual Penny. Fair
and . Dessert Tea of " the
Women's Hospital Auxiliary on
May 28 in Knox Presbyterian
Church Hall— Over 100 guests
were greeted by the President,
Mrs. C. J. Worsell, Past
President, Mrs.. John Berry,
• and Tea Convener, Mrs, Ron
McCalltim.
The hall was decorated with
colourful posters of Hawaii,
artificialflowers, trees, and
parasols, The tea tables with
bright cloths had centerpieces
of flower 'rings or baskets of,
fruit. Soft Hawaiian music was
played in the background as the
ladies visited the popular Bake
Table, convened by Mrs. Ada
lion
theme for
Ainslie. Delicioys desserts
were served from the
smorgasbord table and tea was
served by auxiliary inembers
wearing leis.
The highlight of the afternoon
was the demonstration of lovely
floral arrangements by Mrs.
Marg. McMillan, representing
Denomme's Flower Shop.
These were donated as door
prizes and were won by the
