Western honeymoon
for Goderich Couple
The altar at Victoria Street
United Church, Goderich was
tastefully decorated with white
candelabria and white daisies
on May 3 when the Rev,
Leonard ,Wart officiated at a
double -ring ceremony uniting
Nancy Pearl Swan andThomas
Brian Willis.
Wedding music was:supplied
by Mrs. J.A. Snyder, church
organist and Mrs. Leonard
Warr was soloist.
The bride isthe younger
'daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Swan, Goderich and the•
groom is the son of Mr. and •
Mrs." Dan Willis, RR 4,.
Goderich.
The bride given in marriage
by her' father chpse a floor -
length gown of white nylon
georgette featuring empire
waistline, long sheerr sleeves."'
and high neckline trimmed
with a ruffle. The .bodice was of
ruffled Lace and a double ruffle
of nylon georgette was used to
edge„ the skirt and the train
which was also made of nylon
georgette. A long veil trimmed
with lace flowed from her
headpiece of white rosettes.
She `carried a bouquet of white
daisies, red roses, baby's
breath and fern with streamers
of white lace bridal ribbon.
Matron of honour was Mrs.
Joanne Hakkers, friend of the
bride, Clinton. She chose a
floor -length gown of cherry red
polyester crepe. The bodice;
long -cuffed sleeves:-" and
streamers were of white and
red floral polyest r,.satin.-She
wore a red ribbon in her hair
and a pearl necklace, a gift
from the' bride. She carried a
bouquet,of white daisies, baby's

Pastel theme for spring nuptials in BI
Blyth United Church was the
scene May 10 for the double -
ring ceremony at which Mark
Henry Arthur, Auburn, tool
Mary Elizabeth Howson, Blyth,
as his bride. Rev. C. Wittich of
Blyth conducted the wedding
service. Mrs. Donald Kai was
organist and Miss Debbie
Hicks, soloist, sang "0 Perfect
Love" and "Twelfth of Never'
The 'bride is the daughter of
. Mr. and Mrs. W. Fred Howson,
Blyth. Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Arthur of Auburn are the
parents of the groom.
The bride was given in
marriage by her mother and
father. She wore a Victorian
styled gow of nylon sheer. Her
french illusion veil was trim-
med with Chantillylace
scattered with•seed pearls..She
carried a colonial cluster' of
pink sweetheart • roses and
white divinity poms , centred
with a mauve cattleya orchid.
Margaret Dauphin, sister of
the bride, Guelph,, was matron
breath and fern with red
streamers.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Janet
Rumig, sister .of the groom,
Goderich and Marie Willis,
sister of the groom, RR 4,
Goderich. The flower girl was
Angela. Million, niece. of the
groom, RR 3, Auburn. They
were gowned identically to the
matron of honour.
Groomsman was John Willis,
brother of the' groom, Bristol,
New. Brunswick. Ushers were
Wayne Swan, brother of .the
bride, Goderich and•Ron Willis,
brother of the groom, RR 4,
Qoderich. The ringbearer was
Michael Millian, nephew of the
groom, RR 3, Auburn.
The ' wedding' dinner was
served at Saltford Valley Hall.

The bride's mother chose a
floor -length gotivh of heavenly
blue Chantilly lace with long
see-through sleeves also of blue
Chantilly lace. Her corsage was
of red roses tied with a white
ribbon. The groom's another
chose a floor -length gown of
yellow crepe with long pink and
blue floral chiffon sleeves. Her
corsage was white carnations
tinted pink and tied with a blue
ribbon.
For travelling west the bride
chose a street -length dress of
green polyester trimmed with
white. Her corsage, was a
yellow orchid.
They are residing at 183
Widder Street, Goderich.
Prior to her wedding, the
bride was honoured at two
showers at the homes of Mrs.
Janet Ruinig and Mrs. Carol
McNall.
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Willis
hosted a rehearsal party on the
eve of the wedding.

flowergirls. They wore white
dotted swiss gowns trimmed
with pale blue and carried
miniature nosegay clusters,
smaller versions of the flowers
carried by the senior at-
tendants.

Crawford, Wingham.

Presbyterian Church W.M.S.
Afternoon Auxiliary was held in
the Church Parlor, Tuesday,
May 20 at 2:30 p.m. The
meeting opened with the
President -Mrs. Clayton
Edward giving the call to
worship.
Mrs. James Wilson offered
prayer and' the scripture
reading from St. John's Gospel'
was read by Mrs. Frank
Wilcox. Minutes of last meeting
wer read and :adopted and there
were 30 members and 12
visitors present. Members
reported 62 home, hospital and
telephone calls were made.
.Mi,S: A. Enright gave 'an
interesting report of- the
Biennial Conference held at St.
Catharines.
During the ;,past month one
valued member was called to
higher service. As a fitting
tribute to Mrs. W. Frank
Saunders the beautiful song,
"When 1 come to the End of the
Road" was sung by a group , of
ladies.
The treasurer's report was •
encouraging and , members
were reminded of the project of .
special interest this Centennial
'year of the Yokahama;Nursery.

The Board of Directors of the
Credit Union - rnet at their
regulA monthly meeting May
21.
It was decided thatthe Credit"
Union will now be presenting an
annual scholarship of $50 at
Goderich District Collegiate
Institute. The award will be
made to the graduating fourth
year student with the highest
standing 'in commercial sub-
jects.

She told of the circumstances
leading up to the writing of this
and then her very interesting
heartwarming message em-
phasizing the Love of God and

thanking Him for all, blessings.
It brought joy to the hearts of
the ladies present.
Mrs. Ron. McCallum' thanked
the speaker. for her timely
message and after the Mizpah
Benediction all enjoyed a social
half hour together.

carnations.
They are living in Auburn.
