Mr. and Mrs. George

taken up residence in , their
home at Menesetung Park and
we welcomethem to Colborne

daughter Mary Ellen and son

Sunday and visited a cousin Mr.

family of the late Mr. Girvin
Young of Goderich. Mr. Young
was a Colborne Township boy
and farmed in Colborne
Township for many years.
Shelley and Dwayne Ulmer
flew home from Victoria B.C.
following a three week holiday
in the West. They motored to
Victoria visiting friends an
relatives along the way.
On Friday, May 23rd, Mr.
and Mrs. Edward' Linner and
family attended the spring
convocation of the University of
Waterloo where 'Weir daughter
Shelley received her Bachelor
of Mathematics Degree.
Mr. and Mrs. Reg Riehl and
family, Mrs, Albert Riehl, Mr.
and Mrs. Gerald Dustow and
girls, Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Linner and family attended the

wedding on Saturday af-
ternoon, • The couple was
married in the orchard of their
farm 'near Lucknow.

Olda-fashioned weddin
An old fashioned setting was
the scene at the Christian
-Reformed Church, Clinton,
Where the altar was flanked
with candelabra containing
white candles and
arrangements of yellow daisies
for the May 10 wedding of Jane
Teresa. van Eendenburg and
Ronald Kenneth Chi,sholm, both
of Goderich.
The Rev. Alvin Beukema
officiated for the double .ring
ceremony. Mr. Chris .Guetter,
presided at the organ while
Mrs. Jo -Ann. Van Dyke sang
The Wedding song and The
Lord' Prayer.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Bram van,
Eendenburg, Goderich. The
groom is the son of Kenneth
Chisholm, Goderich and Mrs.
Al Straughn, Clinton:
The bride was escorted to the
altar by her father. Her dress, a
most Youthful sleeveless gown
of flowered lace was topped
with a flower laced Elizabethan
collared shoulder tipped cape.
Her Elizabethan capstyle veil
carried a long embroidered '
train. She carried an in-
teresting cascade of yellow
baby roses and white daisies.
Maid of honour was Miss
Mr. and Mrs. James MacRae
of Toronto called on relatives
and friends in this area during -
the past week. Jim was raised
on the farm now owned by K.L.
MacKenzie,
Several from this area at-
tended anniversary services at
Knox Church Ripley on Sunday.
Ashfield Presbyterian Church
services were cancelled due to
the Ripley anniversary'.
Seems like all the young folk
in the area' participated in the
• bike-a-thon on Saturday which
originated at Brookside School,
a a ost 'all of the 200 who
rted completed the forty
miles, so it's pay up for the
sponsorS.'
RIPLEY CRAFT SHOW
Sponsors of the Ripley Craft
Shpw held their regular
meeting on Tuesday evening at
the holne 'of Mr. and Mrs.
Russell Phillips.
Several plans for the Ripley
show were finalized as well as
making plans for the Afghan
Competition -to be held ,in
•
Kincardine July 12 in co-
operation' with the Town 'and
Country Day.
Anyone living in. tktron and
Bruce County may enter the
competition with either knit or
crocheted hand made afghans'
or both. Prizes amounting to
$60.00 will be awarded. Anyone'
of the Ripley Show executive
will provide rules and entry
forms. ,
Ripley's show' will be the
centre of interest during the
Old Boys Reunion in Ripley and -
will provide an opportunity to
tbe visitors to take home hand
crafted items from over 100
booths that will be in operation
with new and up-to-date Crafts.

Mr. and Mrs. R.K. 'Chisholm
Vicki Radford, Goderich,
-wearing a yellow flowered
gown with a round neckline and
short puffy sleeves. The skirt
was softly gathered from a high
waistline and near the. bottom
it was trimmed with a wide
ruffle of the same material. She
wore a white picture hat ac-
cented with ribbon to match her
gown. She carried a touch of
spring with a white parasol
smothered in yelrow daisies.
'Bridesmaids were Dinah
Blok, Bayfield and Corry
Schotts, Clinton, sister of the
bride. They were . gowned
identically to the maid of honor.
Jennifer Straughn, sister of
the groom, Clinton,* was
flowergirl dressed in a yelloW
flowered : gown like the at-
tendants, wore yellow daisies in
her hair and carried a nosegay
of white daisies and . baby's
breath. ,
Groomsman- was Jim Mero,
Goderich. Ushers were John
Schotts, nephew of the bride,
Clinton and Ian Chisholm,
brother of the groom, Goderich.
All, the men in the wedding

party wore pale blue tuxedoes
trimmed with navy blue velvet
lapels and pockets, navy velvet
bow ties and white sh'irts,
•trimmed in blue. Ushers and
groomsman wore bouttoriniers
of single white, carnations,
while the groom chose a
wheel and steering ali'gnnJent.
• Arid don't forget. the tires,
lights, horn or bell, reflective
tape and brakes. Make sure
everything is in good working

Club, Goderich.
The bride's mother chose a
peach creme gown ' with long
tulle sleeves and. a matching
corsage of coral tipped car-
nations. The mother of the
groom redeived her guests in a
deep- blue floor -length gown
with matching shawl and a
corsage of pink carnation's.
The newly weds
honeymooned in Niagara Falls.
The bride travelled in plain
beige slacks topped with, a
.printed OrCket and scarf. Her
corsage, was blue tied with a
blue ribbon

Honored guests at the
wedding were the bride's two
aunts from Holland.
• Guests attending the wedding
were from Listowel; -Hamilton,
Holland, Mount Forest • and•
Toronto.
Prior to the wedding the
bride was feted at a surprise
shower by Miss Vicki Radford
and a community shower given
at' the home of Mrs. Ben
Whitely. Local office girls and'
'the bride went out to dinner and ..•
presented the bride With a gift.
A rehearsal. party was hosted
by. Mrs. Straughn in Clinton on '
the eve Qf the wedding,'
