for the double -ring ceremony.
Organist was Lorne Dotterer.
Soloist was Avis Bisset.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Casey Hudson,
Goderich, and the groom's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. John
Anderson, RR 1, Dungannon.
The bride was escorted to the
altar by her father. She wore a
floor -length white polyester.
crepe dress fashioned by her
mother. Her , shoulder -length
veil was caught by a crown. of
pearls and sequins. She carried
a y nosegay •of white daisies,
mums, yellow sweetheart roses
and baby's breath.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Gail Huber, sister of the groom,
Goderich. She chose a floor -
length coral doubleknit gown.

They wore yellow crimp knit.
dresses with ruffles around the
hemlines and yokes and sleeves
of white eyelet lace. They
carried small nosegays of
yellow daisies and yellow
sweetheart roses with baby's
breath.
Groomsman was Francis
Huber, brother-in-law of the
groom, Goderich. Glenn
Anderson, brother of the
.,,groom, RR 1, Dungannon,
.ushered guests.. Ringbearer
was Paul Ladd Jr., newphew of
the bride, Goderich.
A buffet lunch followed the
wedding at the home of the
bride's parents. Mrs. Hudson
greeted her guests in _. -a floor -
length creme doubleknit dress
and .a corsage of yellow car-
nations. The groom's mother
wore a two-piece dress and coat
ensemble of blue doubleknit
with a -corsage of white car-
nations.
Following the wedding
reception, the bride changed to
a three-piece pant suit of beige
flowered jersey knit and a
beige orchid corsage. •
Mr, and Mrs. Anderson are
residing at Dungannon,
A miscellaneous bridal
shower was held at the home of
Mrs. Gail Huber assisted by
Mrs. Cynthia Anderson, Mrs.
Carol Bechard and Cheryl
Anderson.
A wine and cheese party at
the home of Gail and Francis
Huber was attended by the staff
of the Goderich Psychiatric
Hospital in honor of the couple.

Kingsbridge was the scene
April 26 when Ursula Courtney
and Matthew , George
Richardson, both of Goderich,
exchanged wedding vows and
rings before the Rev. Father
Ed. Dentinger.
The church was decorated
with stunning. pedestal
arrangements of yellow
chrysanthemums and white
pompoms on each side of the
altar. Wedding music was
supplied= by 11Vliss .. Marianne.
Frayne, organist and soloist;
and Bridesmaid Lynn
Richardson, also a soloist:
The bride is the datrghter of
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Courtney,
Goderich. George Richardson,
Ingersoll,, , and the late Mrs.
Richardson, are the parents of
the groom.
,The bride was given in
marriage by,, , her father. She
wore a gown of lagoda and
Guipure ..lace featuring an
empire waistline, long sleeves
and a full A-line skirt. The high
neckline and sleeves were
edged with, Guipure lace and
matching lace formed a deep.
yoke effect on thefront and
back of the gown. Guipure lace
was -used to edge the skirt and
outlined the full chapel train
which was fastened at the back
waistline with a butterfly bow.
Her Juliet cap held a shoulder -
length veil and she •earried an
•-.interesting ,-cascade of ' pink
roses, white ball pompoms and
baby's , breath tied' with white
double -lace bridal ribbon.
Matron of lionor was Mrs.
Helen Riegling, sister of 'the
bride, RR 3, Lucknow. She
chose a formal -length pastel
green polyester crimplene
gown. The round neckline and
the long sleeves were trimmed
with a ruffle of - the same
material. The skirt was softly
gathered from a high waistline
and edged at the hemline with a
wide flounce. She wore a white
wide -brimmed hat accented
with ribbon to match her gown
and. a single gree flower. She
carried a touch of spring in a
charming mixture of white
daisies and pink sweetheart
roses.
Bridesmaids were Sharon
McCleneghan,' sister of the
bride, Clinton,- and Lynn
Richardson, ' sister of., the
groom, Ingersoll. -,They were

carnations.

served at The White Carnation,
Holmesville. flower
arrangements and pink candles
centered, each table. •
The bride's mother chose a
floor -length gown of
delphinium blue floral chiffon,
the neckline and sleeves
trimmed with self pleating: Her
corsage was ,of pink roses tied
with a pink ribbon. Mrs.
Richardson wore a floor -length
gown of beige polyester
crimplene trimmed with gold,
featuring long full sleeves. Her
corsage °was of yellow roses
tied with gold ribbon.
The newlyweds
honeymooned in Penn-
.sylvania's Pocono Mountains.
The bride travelled in ',plain
navy pants topped with a red,
white and blue jacket and a red.
top coat with navy accessories.
Her corsage was red..
They are residing at 139

grandmother, Mrs. J.
Richardson; Watford, and the
only great aunt of the ,bride,
Mrs. Nora Sinnett.- -

Ingersoll, Forest, Wyoming,
Watford and Wallaceburg; and
Corquest, Saskatchewan.
Prior to her wedding, the

the home of Miss Nancy Brown
for the local office girls; a
shower at the home of Misses
Kathy, Anita, Leona - and
Janette Hogan ',for girlfriends;
and a community ' shower at
Kingsbridge with former
neighbors as guests; •
The couple was entertained
by friends prior to their wed
ding 'at a fondue party at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. °Ed.
Scruton Jr., and a rehearsal
party was hosted by Mr. and
Mrs. Richardson in Goderich
on the eve of the wedding.

orchid corsage.
Mr. and Mrs. Rutledge are -
residing at RR 1, Auburn.
Before her marriage, a bridal .
shower was given by Dorothy
Brown of RR 6, Goderich.
Huron Unit hears
discussion on duties
At the recent meeting of
Huron Unit of the Canadian
ICancer Society held in
Seaforth, members listened to
a panel discussion on the duties
of the planning, development
and nominations committee.
Sitting in on the panel was the
southwestern district chairman
of that committee, • Charlie
Duffin of Thorndale; and John
McKay of Sarnia, president of
southwestern; Cheste
Archibald, president; and Mrs.
Helen Davies, P.D.N. chair
man of Huron unit. A film
produced by Ontario Division
was used to introduce the
-subject and.disctlssion followed
concerning the .importance. of
the committee, and 'the
necessity of .a knowledgeable
chairman and vice-chairman to
recruit vital, interested and
dedicated officers for the Unit.
.The importance of • the
committee in .relation to
planning and development was
also stressed. The service to
-patients! committee carries out
widespread and very wor-
thwhile work, brut the
education, commemoration
funds and campaign personnel
are equally important. Mr.
Duffin stated "The. roll of the
Society is changing. Don't just
drift, go out and get people
interested and involved."
During the business session,
the committee reports pointed
up ..just how much is' being
accomplished. Ross McDaniel,
unit campaign chairman,
complimented all branch
chairmen and. their canvassers
for their united efforts, having
raised to date $17,423.58.
Hopefully we will be able to
reach our objective of $29,500.00
The annual dinner meeting
will be held on September 29th
.at the White .Carnation,
Holmesville, with Mr. Ron
Calhoun ^ of Thamesford as
guest ' speaker. Tickets ' are
already available to the public,
and the president hopes for a
good attendance.

Barry Elphick, son of Mr.
and 'Mrs.. Harold E.Iphick• .on
Highway 86 met with a serious
accident on Sunday last.
Barry was practising for the
upcoming Bike-a-thon and *ith
friends was proceeding down a
steep hill at the lake, when his
brakes failed and he landed in a
rock garden on the property of
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hamilton.
He was rushed to—Wingham
Hospital *where he remained
with a fractured skull and
concussion
Open House was held
Tuesday evening at North Ash-
field School with a good crowd
in attendance. This school in
operation for just over 13 years
will close its doors in June and
the pupils will attend Brookside
School in September.
