"Although we ate providing
initial funding for the program,
we hope.that eventually it will
become financially self-

Environment,Ontario has set
four objectives for the Derelict

derelict motor vehicles and
eliminate the aesthetic
pollution they represent.
2. To promote resource
recovery through the collection
and transportation of the hulks
to processing plants where
reusable metals can be
recovered. .
3. To establish interim
transfer and processing
facilities by creating either new
derelict motor vehicle
collection sites or by upgrading
existing sites.
4. To implement the long
term self-sustaining rprbgram
at 'the local level for hulk
cleanup.
The Ministry has already
conducted three test programs
innorthernOntario and a pilot
project in Tiiniskanzing is now
underway. This started in -
February and initial results
indicate the major program
will be successful.

by ,our test programs for hulk
