April .19 for the double -ring wedding ceremony conducted by Rev. Ralph King for Pauline Wildgen and Jack Davis, both of Cambridge. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and 'Mrs. Herb- Wildgen, Goderich. The groom is the son of Mrs. Florence Davis, Wardsville, and the late Clifton Davis. Lorne Dotterer presided at the , organ.. Mr. ••. and Mrs. Warren Robinson sang '• The Wedding' Song accompanied by guitar. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a prin- cess line wedding gown with small white pearl beads around the bodice and the high neckline. The sleeves were long and full. She wore a cap -style headdress which held a double - tiered chapel veil. She carried white stephanotis, pink tea - roses and baby's breath. , Miss Joanne Wildgen, Cambridge, was maid of honor 'in a coral crepe gown flocked with small white flowers: She carried pink tea roses, daisies and baby's breath. • Groomsman was Robert Davis, London. Ringbearer was. Master Blain Davis, Cam- bridge, and ushers were Michael Wildgen and Casey Wildgen, both of Goderich, The wedding reception was at The White, Carnation, Holmesville.• The'. bride's, mother wore a floor -length silk jersey gown in champagne color 'with blue and brown flowers and a blue car.ion corsage. The groom -'s mother chose a floor -length silk jersey gown of champagne shade with pink flowers and a pink tea roses corsage. .Following their marriage, the couple left for a honeymoon in Cuba. The bride travelled in an off-white skirt trimmed in blue with matching cardigan, a light blue silk jersey bloase•and a corsage of yellow tea roses. On their return, they took up residence in. Cambridge Out of town guests were present from Chatham, Ken- tbridge, Rodney, London, Sturgeon Falls, Kitcheneix, Guelph and Cambridge. Fr. Dentinger opened the Meeting with the league prayer. The new president, Mrs. Eugene Frayne, welcomed everyone to the meeting. Scripture reading was given by ,Mrs. Frank Riegling., Church . Life Con- venership was reported by Mrs. •Riegling. Gifts were given to the communicant Sunday, May 4th. An anniversary gift was presented to Mrs. Ann La Londe for 25 years of marriage'. The secretary's, ' and treasurer's reports were given and adopted as read. Correspondence was given by Mrs. Pat Martin. Thank 'you notes were received from the Becker family andAhe Nivens family. "The Church To -Day" Programme sent a receipt and expressed appreciation of our correspondence to them. ' A letter from the 'Catholic Women's League of Canada was read re the . Provincial Convention, July 8, 9 and 10. A note was received from Huronview about a Spring Tea Jun& 4th from 2-4 p.m.' Daroth Enterprises from Quebec, gave us opportunity to raise funds. A letter ' from the Diocesan Conventionwas read and one recommendation and four 'resolutions discussed. The two delegates, Mrs. Ann La Londe and Mrs. Eugene Frayne, going to the_ convention will vote on' these resolutions arid express their' feelings on these items. These delegates hope to 'report on the con- vention at the June meeting. Mrs. . Rochelle Champagne gave the roll call. Mrs. Joe Courtney; the Pro -Life Con - The Scouts were in camp. During' an inspection the camp M director. found an umbrella neatly rolled inside the bedroll of a small Scout. As an um- brella, was not listed as a necessary item, the director " asked the boy to "explain. Community Life Con- vener, Mrs. C. Riegling , reported on Canadian League`" booklet and .the MB annual report. Cultural Life Convener, Mrs. J. Howard reported on Mr: Frank Austin's birthday party and plans to organize birthday parties for Mrs.: Marie Austin and Brother Carl Voll were mentioned. Grade eight graduation was discussed. Buying new girl guide leader unllforms was suggested and requests made by Brownies were.granted Fr. Dentinger spoke to , the, ladies and encouraged us to have faith andhope to continue with prayer. Mrs. E. Frayne expressed the need for volunteers on May 10th for the Doherty - Bromley wedding dinner. Mrs. Mark Balton spoke on the com- munion breakfast May 4th. , Mrs. 'Anton Van Osch spoke on behalf of the 4-H club. She extended an invitation to all to attend Achievement • Day May 17th at .1 o'clock. She thanked Father and the CWL ,,,for their assistance. s Fr.
