'Viking5 blanked South Huron, 4-0, and the juniors shut out their Exeter opponents 3-0. The senior Vikings got off to a siow. start in this, their first game of the year, but still scored the only goal of.the first half when Ron, 'Jag" Sowerby scored on a pass, from Pat Conlon. In the second half the Vikings showed excellent team play, . coupled with a strong defensive effort. They took to , the of- fensive early, scoringin the first setonds of the half, Story by T.D. moving the ball directly from the kickoff into the Exeter end. Pat Conlon headed Tom O'Brien's ' pass into the net completing a series of five well executed passes involved in the play. .The Vikings increased the margin to. three when Tag Sowerby scored on a pass from Kevin Meriam.
