The live -year-old daughter of Pro- prietor McLean, of the National Hotel, St. Marys, fell from the balcony at the rear of the hotel on Thursday morning. The fall was 16 feet, and the unfortun- ate child alighted on its head. Though her injuries are severe, there being slight concussion of the brain, it is believed she will fully recover. Monday forenoon a young man named Thomas Freel, eldest son of James Freel, Forest, who was working on ,the farm of Wm. Knapp, four miles from Forest, met a terrible death. He was driving a mower, and while oiling the machine was kicked in the head by one of the horses. The team ran away and he was dragged under the mo.wer and terribly tnekngled.
