will be some fair coveys of grouse found

fatal, but „very fortunately the weater
changed warmer just as the young Wide
in most cases came out, and as a result
good full coveys are being tieen here and

into the woods. More quail are being
seen and bea/dthan for thsny years.

The manner in Which the Street
watering is being done age year is a
fraud On thee who have to pay the tax,
as daily the dust iseerried late the ttOree
irt clouds' and while the inerehants and
others 4ma sustain injury to goo's,
they have to pay a heavy tax $or street
watering purposes. Ask the reason,
and the answer comes: 441,1(,) wind, no
water This same grievance Was aired
ad year, and the excuse was that the
wind mill, which ire the motive power,
had. not a sufficient test On account of
the absence of wind, to pronounce as to
its adaptability for the work. This year
the wind is also eluding us and we find
the same condition of teirtim as before
If we are to be taxed fe etreet watering,
We ask the council to stet that the dust is
properly laid, as the present service is
an Imposition read a fraud, We ask for
an early solution of this problem, and
either give us what is cent -meted for or
refund the tax.
