wood, softwood, hardwoods,
coniferous and decidious. Sub-
phylum was no barrier to
freedom.

Ree `limbed' his way into the
largest pulp and paper com-
pany in Canada. He found the
company president's office.
This was the man he wanted to
see.

Department of , Lands and
Forests.
Rosenbush felt the at-
tacks were harmless enough
until one day ,at breakfast while
reading of the current paper
shortage, he , came upon this

"A tree entered a stationery
,store just befblre closing time
yesterday and pointed a branch
at salesclerk, Elmwood Birch, '
and demanded the release of all
industrial prisoners of the pulp
trade.
"Suspecting a stick-up, Mr.
Birch began to struggle, but
succumbed to defeat when the
tree sprayed pine air -freshener
in his face.. Mr. Birch 'lay
helpless ,on the floor as the tree
ransacked his store, liberating
all papers and pencils from the
shelves. The tree' then left...;
"Constable D.K. Willow
Elmer Rosenbush stood up and
took notice of the problem. He
now realized that A.T. Ree's
liberation army had `branched'
out and was. becoming quite
fanatical. • ,It was bad enough
liberating tables and telephone
poles but pencils! This had to
cease!
That day he planned his
attack: He felt he had been a
'sap' all along.
His thesis : "Most trees have
a little willow in them, that is, to
say, they will bend, If we `stalk'

television and radio, A.T. Ree
was made into toothpicks
