outfitted with new uniforms for the season. The team members

In Level I semi-final play last
week Dave Weary won the first
game against Jim Weary.
However Dave should have his
hands full picking up the second
victory he needs as Jini Weary
`had previously onlylost two
games all year.
The other Level one semi-
final series is between Charlie
MacDonald and Glen Falkiner.
This series is yet to• get un-
derway.
In Level 2 semi-finals Harold
Kloeze once again played
flawlessly to take the second
game against Jim Kingsley.
Harold now advances to the
final series against Dave
Carruthers.
Dave Carruthers won his
semi-final series against John
Kloeze in two games straight.
However John must be
congratulated on a great
season just the same. John was
the most improved member of
the club this season.
In Level 3 semi-finals Darrell
Kloeze evened up the series
against Brian Mill& by win-
ning the _second game, but
Brian bounced back to win the
third game and the series two
ganies to one. Darrell Kloeze
also did very well this year
making the semi-finals in Level
3 in his first year with 'the club.
With a little more experience
Darrell could becomercep,,pf.the
strongest players in the club.
Brian Miller, now advances to
the finals against Bob Dick. •
In Level 4 "Finals Mike
Koszycki became the winner by' '
defeating Doug Brindley two
games to none. Therefore
congratulations are in order to
this year's Level 4 winner -
MikeKoszycki.
This year the Goderich Chess
Club banquet will be at. the
Bedford Hotef on May 7 at 6:00
p.m.

Sowerby read the minutes of
the last meeting.
Mrs. Thompson, the leader,
checked everyone's pattern
and material °for their blouses'.
When this was done. the book
cover committee which in-
cluded, Julie Sowerby, Lori
Taylor and Sally Taman,
handed out the book covers
they had made. "
Lynn Goddard demonstrated
how to do a dart, then Julie,
Sow,erby demonstrated how to
do staystitching.
