Goren to Death by re Bull.
I HAMILTON, July 14.-4 Beverly town.
Iship farmer, Maned John Rutherford, was
gored to death by a vicious bull on his
farm, The bull was known to be vionale
and was tied up, but it broke loose and
attacked the old man, goring him in the
abdomen and mutilating him in a fearful
manner, Two sons of Mr. Rutherford,
who were in an adjoining field, rushed to
the rescue of their father and drove the:,

DRUHMONDVILLE, Que., July 16. -Two
explosions in quick succession were heard
by the residents in the vicinity of the
Drummondville County' Railway Station
on Saturday morning. It was discovered
that burglars had effected an entwine, in
the secretary's office of the Drummond
County Railroad, which is in the station,
and had. blown open the tWO safes therein.
Something over $2,000 was carried off. The
robbery was committed by three masked
men who previously overpowered the twb
night watchmen and locked them up in a
box oar.
Two Drowned While Bathing.

bathing at Wilcox,rackley Point. It is supposed

Patten, a farmer from near Paris, for se-
ductimi of Annie Newman, was heard at
the police court yesterday, After hearing
