Sympathy to Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Doherty and family on
the' death of Mrs. Doherty's
mother, Mrs: David Nivins, RR
3 Auburn on Thursday, April 10
in her 77th year. The funeral
services were held on Saturday
afternoon from the Arthur
Funeral Horne inu Auburn.
Interment , was in the
Dungannon Cemetery.
Sympathy is also extended to
Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Maize
(nee Maureen Vassella) on the
death of his step -mother, Mrs.
Albert Maize at the Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital
on Thursday, April 10 in her
83rd year. Funeral services
were held on Saturday from the
Stiles Funeral Hone, Goderich.
Interment was in the
Dungannon Cemetery.
Several from this area at-
tended the wake and the
funeral Mass at the Sacred
Heart Roman Catholic church,.

put on by the Goderich High
School Drama Group at the
Goderich District Collegiate
Institute on Tuesday evening,
April 8. Congratulations to this
same group, who presented the
play in Hamilton on Saturday
evening and, was one of four
selected at ,the western region
of the Ontario Collegiate
Drama Festival to advance to
the Ontario final°$ to be held'in
Toronto on May 9, 10, and 11.
Plans are being made for a
Bingo Night to'be held in the St.
Joseph's Parish Hall on
Saturday, April 26 in support of
a Grade 8 trip to Niagara Falls
some time in June. Everyone is
welcome to attend. ,

process of transforming the
school's gymnasium ihto a Nile
Kingdom reminiscent of an-
cient Egypt for the spring

At least 150 students have
been active during the past few
weeks preparing wall murals.
and building such things. as
pyramids and sphynx from
paper 'in athe . The Nile'
Kingdom decor. will feature a
sphynx centerpjece in the.
reach 14 feet.
The entrance and exit to the
gym will come out of a pyramid
that Will be lined with gardens.
The pyramid 'entrance will be
enhanced, by a 'simulated oasis
complete with a „pond. Coffee
will be served in the lobby.oasis
area while snacks and refresh-
ments will be served in the
upper level of the gym which
has. been. aptly transformed
into Cleopatra's Lounge.
However the committee Ilas
had to keep in Mind the con-
servation of floor sPace.. The
walls of the. gym will be lined
with frescoes and murals
