farewell party for Mr. and Mrs.
Worthy Young and Mr. and
'Mrs. Len tiakelaar in the
Auburn Community Memorial
hall last week.

The Hiseys made their first
public appearance several
years ago right in their home
community in the Stayner
Missionary Church. They never
planned to sing together
regularly, but invitations
started coming in, and they
have been kept busy ever since
playing euchre, lost heir and
crokinole.
An address 'was read to both
couple's • by James 'Schneider
and gifts were presented by
Larry Johnston. Both Worthy
and Adelaide and Len and
Rynie thanked everyone for the
gifts.
- Lunch was served by Mrs.
Larry Johnston, Mrs. Murray
Popp, Mr§. Garth McClinchey
and Mrs. Brian Hallam.
Mr. and Mrs. Young have
sold their farm on the Maitland
Block and are moving to
Goderich and Mr. and Mrs.
Bakelaar and family are
for over -five years now,.
- Four years ago they felt there
was a' need for more Canadian
Christian music on television,
so they approached-itieir
nearest station in Barrie. They
were accepted, and the. Hisey
House of Song, as theprogram
is officially known, went on the
air for the first time in 1971 as a
public service feature.
The Hisey 'family cut their .
first record seven years ago.
Since then they. have recorded
four more albums. Their first
sheet music was published last -
fall, with some of their best
known songs:
Their music is well-received
by' those'. of !all .ages. This is
because they believe in using'
songs that have a message not,
only for the young but also for
the middle-aged and the old.
Each program features one'
or two guest artists. They arepa
versatile group, playing
several instruments including
guitar, mandolin, banjo and
ukulele, besides piano and
drums.
