Councillor Stothers reported to council about the trip to inspect 'tanks and fire halls recently acquired by neigh- bouring municipalities, • which was underti .ken by members of four local municipalities. The municipalities visited •were Ripley, Kincardine and Paisley, and the inspection trip was made in connection with Lucknow Fire Department's request that the three Town- ships of Ashfield, Kinloss and West Wawanosh purchase a water tanker for use in the 'respective townships, and the subsequent, need for a place to house the tanker. The owners concerned in the *Gaunt Municipal Drain joined Council to consider the Engineer's report on the said Drain. Mr. A. Clark, Engineer of Wingham, was on hand to answer questions and a large majority of the owners in the drain were present. After a lengthy discussion period, the report,was referred back to the Engineer for revision.
