The Talent 'Night-, held on
March'5 was a real success. It
raised about $281. We would
like to thank o everyone in-
volved, especially Mr. Currie's.
class for selling the tickets and
Mr. Cameron for organizing the
program.
Mr. Brooks class has been
studying how the television
works. ri
Mrs. Carruther',s kin-
dergarten class is studying
transportation. They made
cars and trucks out of boxes.
In Mrs. Freeman's Grade 1
class, the -children made some

COMING OF SPRING
Spring is coming, it's almost
here,
The birds are 'lurking, far and •

On Tuesday afternoon,
March 4, West Wawanosh
Township Council met for its
regular March session in -the
office of the Public Works
Building; , with all members
present and Reeve Bob Lyons
presiding.
Councillor Stothers reported
to council about the trip to
inspect 'tanks and fire halls
recently acquired by neigh-
bouring municipalities, • which
was underti .ken by members of
four local municipalities. The
municipalities visited •were
Ripley, Kincardine and
Paisley, and the inspection trip
was made in connection with
Lucknow Fire Department's
request that the three Town-
ships of Ashfield, Kinloss and
West Wawanosh purchase a
water tanker for use in the
'respective townships, and the
subsequent, need for a place to
house the tanker.
The owners concerned in the
*Gaunt Municipal Drain joined
Council to consider the
Engineer's report on the said
Drain. Mr. A. Clark, Engineer
of Wingham, was on hand to
answer questions and a large
majority of the owners in the
drain were present. After a
lengthy discussion period, the
report,was referred back to the
Engineer for revision.

meeting with a Ministry
engineer to be held Thursday
morning, March ,6, and that
they could -attend that meeting
if they so wished.. `
The same delegation also
brought up a change of signs at
certain points on the Township
roads be made, as well as the
condition of the boundary road
between West Wawanosh and
Colborne Township.
The Clerk was instructed to
write the four " livestocI
evaluators about a workshop to
be held on March 24 to acquaint
them with the method of
