GODERICH POLICE FALCONS BANTAM ALL-STARS In two exhibition games played in, Goderich on the weekend, the Falcons lost 6-3 to Mitchell and tied four all with "Seaforth. --In —the—first -game- against Mitchell played on • Friday 'night, by the 13:49 mark of the J+� 16. second period,' it was 6-0 for Mitchell. THE TWINS In the first game of the round robin series in the W.O.A.A"' playoffs, the Goderich Twins travelled to Port 'Elgin on Wednesday, Marsh 5 with only' 10 players and came through with a five all tie. HOCKEY NOTES Inthe final game of the Atom Tournament, which was held in Bayfield, Bayfield won the' game in overtime 8-7 against Goderich Candlelight Inn. Bayfield went ahead 3-0 in the first. period on two goals by Rick Johnston and 1 by Jeff Merner. In . the second period, Goderich got on.the score sheet as Greg Marshall .scored unassisted and then Tom Profit, scored two goals and at the end of the second period, the score was Bayfield 4, Goderich 3. Bayfield made it 5-3 on a goal by ' Brian . V.anaaken, then Goderich came on strong as Tom Profit scored two more goals to tie the game 5-5. Bayfield went ahead on a goal by Rob Chapman 30 seconds later, Tom Profit tied' the game again and before the period ended, Rick Johnston picked up his fourth goal of the game and,Tom Profit picked up his fifth and sixth goals of the game.. The winning goal in overtime was scored unassisted by Jeff Merner. BLYTH, LEGION L VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT TOURNAMENT The Goderich Restaurant won both games and the Championship Trophy which is on display in the Goderich Restaurant. The two clubs are holding a Skatathon from nine in the morningto five h the ° afternoon.
