Some mothers came to see how the girls do things. Ro11.,Ca11 was "Why Did You Join 4-14?" Officers were chosen as follows: president Virginia Chisholm; vice- president Marilyn Sproul; press reporter and secretary Wanda Park. Meetings will be held on Thursday evenings, 7:15 to 9:15. The first meeting was held at the home of leader Donna Young with 10 members present. Discussion took place on what the course covered and booklets and pamphlets were looked over. All read from,the teacher's book on,, "Planning the Wardrobe" and answered some oral questions. Loader Bev Maclnnis showed some different pieces of material and talked about the blouse which each member must make for Achievement Day. Kathy Pentland demon- strated how to take personal measurements. Virginia Chisholm closed the meeting. The meeting next Thursday will be held at the home of Bev Maclnnis at 7:15 p.m. SOCIAL NEWS Jeff and Scott McMichael have had the chicken pox but are better now ,and . attended, Kindergarten registration at Brooksideon Friday. ' Miss ' Barbara Blake from Toronto spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Cecil Blake. Saturday callers were Mrs. Dick Kilpatrick and her mother, • Mrs. Atkinson of Wingham andMrs. Kilpatrick's five-year-old twin grandsons Warren and Scott Kilpatrick. David and Sharon Dawson are enjoying a few holidays in Jamaica. Paul is staying with hiss, aunt, Sue and Doug Brown and Jackie is with Mr. and Mrs. Art Stewart. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sher- wobd, Sarnia visited his parental home on the weekend. Mrs. W.A. Stewart is spen- ding a few days with Mr. 'and Mrs. T.M. A duet by'Mrs, Orrie Gingerich and Mrs. Martin was' very, much enjoyed. Mr's. Len Christilau and Mrs. Clifford Purdon assisted with reading Scriptures, MrS.
