GRAHAM ELECTRIC
NOVICE ALL-STARS
For only the second time,
since Christmas, the Electrics
were shutout, this time to
Stoneybrook last Saturday
'night, a 4-0 score.
Stoneybrook notched two
`weak' goals in the first period
which proved uto be all they
needed. The Stoneybrook
goaltender appeared to be a
little bit on 'the new side, but
time and tune again he fooled
Electric shooters.,,.
Daryl Madge, John Thom-
pson and Randy Gaynor missed
in the first; Todd Graham, Nick
Trebish in the second; Brent
, Williamson and Mike Eastwood
in the third. Although the boys
missed a few chances, they did
not play up to their usual high
standard of defensive play and
this was where the game was
lost. '
In one of the fastest and most
exciting games' of the season in
Stoneybrook on Sunday, 'the
Electrics edged Stoneybrook 4-

Kent 'caught the left corner.
Minutes later, Stoneybrook tied
the game on a rebound.
John Thompson also scored
on a breakaway in the second
period when Tim Chisholm put
a pass up the middle to John.
Again St5neybrook. came back
to tie the score in the second
• period.
Daryl Madge then scored,
also on a breakaway late in the
second period. This came about
when Daryl checked . the
Stoneybrookdefenceman at the
red line.
' Once again, .early in the
'third, Stoneybrook tied the
game on a good passing play,
but • Randy Gaynor's goal
midway through -' the third
period stood •up as the winner.
It was a,screened shot froth the
right circle. Kent Feagan drew
an assist on the play..
Paul Brenner was trem;en-
dous in goal particularly in the
- first period making several key
stops. Terry Bean took_ over
late in, the second and he also
made some key, saves. The
..defence improved considerably
over the Saturday night gaMe.
This weekend the Electrics
start` their playoffs when
Hanover is at Goderich for a 5
o'clock ' game and then on
Sunday, another playoff game
when the Electrics 'travel .to
-Port 'Elgin for a .4:45 _game...
These playoffs consist of a
Mane and home game against
0
four teams, Hanover, Listowel,
Walkerton and Port Elgin with
the top twei, playing for the
Championship of this division.
This is what the team has
worked towards all year, so we
are wishing the boys the best of
luck.
