year, and this reporter
would be remiss if she didn't
• mention how eagerly the
local paper was looked for
and enjoyed by Mrs.
McCharles while at home
and •at 'Huronview. Little
does one • know how im-
portant .are the small news
items until you see one enjoy

problems can later create
learning problems for the
child. arid they are hoping to
partially ' eliminate this
potential risk. . ''• '

Si. Boniface Separate -school
in Zurich and for all children
attending J.A.D. McCurdy
school in Huron Park. She
said that this syStern proved
to be much ,better and they
are instituting it • for all
preschool children in the
county.

In addition to these tests
which have been done in the
past, during the preschool
screening clinics, the Health
Unit will also undertake, to
make a general health
• assessment of each • child
entering. school in the fall.

made but the• health unit has
two specially trained nurses
who will conduct the tests

reaSon' for these added tests
is that all school health
records will be going on
computer this year .and it is
extremely important that
they have the total in-
formation of the- health of
' each child.

conform to the standard
