The United Church Women had a Christmas dinner on December 11 with a losing team' (saving pennies~)° ser- ving the winning team. Edna Jervis' team served a lovely meal to Isabelle Harris' team. Their regular Christmas meeting -was then held. Clarence and Jean Perdue's 40th anniversary and Clarence's police force retiremenf.party at the. Clinton ,Legion on December 14 was well supported. Children of Mr. and Mrs:. Pete Hummel, Master David' and Miss Margaret Anne were patients• in London Hospitals recently and they are now.,, home and recovering quickly.
