A large -crowd of friends and
neighbours attended the benefit
dance for Mr. and. Mrs. Keith
Rodger who recently lost their
barn and contepts by fire. Mr.
and Mrs. -Norman McClinchey
and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Arta=
strong sponsored the dance
with music suppliedby the
Country Companions. At inter-
mission Mr. and Mrs. Rodger
were called to the platform.
Jack Armstrong spoke a few
words and a gift of money was
presented by Norrhan McClin-
chey.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Van
Dongen and family attended
the funeral service for their
cousins, Debra Marie Segeren,
David Bernard Segeren and
Linda Anne Segeren of RR 5
Blenheim, victims of a. car
crashing into them as they
waited for their school bus.

'The Walkerburn Club held
their monthly ' meeting at—the
home of Mrs—Leonard Archam-
bault. Mrs. Carmen 'Gross
presided for the meeting. Mrs.
Roy Daer led in praye"r.
The minutes were accepted
as read by the secretary, Mrs.
John Hallam. Roll call was anr
swered by the paying of fees.
Mrs. Ted. Hunking 'gave a
resume of the afternoon spent
at Huronview which she and
some of the members had.
residents and . assisting with
crafts.
A letter was .read -from Mrs.
H. Johnston telling of the work
,of the Huronview Auxiliary
and asking for help at,the time
TAYLOR'S CORNERS 4-H
Taylor's Corners 4-H held
their final tneetirig at Marva
and Donna Jackson's home% on
November 2. This final meeting
was in the •form of a party.
The Party was a buffet sup-
per with the mothers • and
friends of the girls attending.
Special guests at the party was
the whole Jackson family.
Served at the party were
tunaburgers, bundled potatoes,
cabbage salad, a. relish plate,
pies, and a birthday cake for
Mr. Jackson's birthday which
was that day. ,.
Games .were played before
the supper and everything was
cleaned up by the girls which
left the guests and leaders to
have a talk.
The party was a, great suc-
cess, thanks to all' the 4-H
members.

being auctioneer.
'Plans were made to hold the
next meeting at 'the home of
Mrs. Elliott Lapp. Mrs.
Thomas Cunningham and Mrs.
Carmen Gross are to be in
charge of the program and ,,the
lunch is to be convened by Mrs.
Henry Hunking and Mrs. Lloyd
Penfound.
Robertson's Senior Girls
played • soccer against
Kingsbridge on Noverriber 1
and won 1-0. This means they
won the championship. On
November 4 Robertson Senior
girls and boys played the
Brucefield soccer team. The
girls won 2-1 and the boys tied
l all. •
The junior wing would° like
to thank Mr. and Mrs. Fraser
for the ice cream they gave to
them on Thursday, October 31.
The parent -teacher inter-
views on October 28 and
November •5 werevell. atten-
ded. Thanks Moms and Dads.

On Hallowe'en the Grade 1
class came around to each
classroom and showed the
classes their. costumes.
The 'Senior classes are busy
writing poetry 'or an essay for
,,the Legion Remembrance Day
Poetry and Essay Contest.
Mr: Kemp's Grade 7 class -is
finishing up a study of Indians
long ago. They started a num-
ber of projects on the fourth of
November such as corn husk
dolls, thread art and Remem-
brance Day murals.
On Wednesday, October 30
all the Grade 7 classes went
through the'Museurnobile from
the Royal Ontario 'Museum.
In Mrs. Shackleton''s room
the pupils made wire and card-
