The only foreseeable obstacle is getting the interest aroused and the program off the ground, • The Blu.ewater Company has spent close to $15,000 to equip the studio for use in the hope that local • residents , would 'recognize the need for and realize the benefits of a com- munity, television 'effort., The studio is now .equipped with two catneras with zoom lenses, proper lighting .for production,- a video tape machine which will afford the convenience of produCtion at any hour and -a console. The console -is able to monitor three cameras and features a swit7 cher-fader which enables the operator to switch to another camera shot or fade into another angle and such special effects as a split screen and cort tier insertions. Unfortunately programming will ,be confined to the, studio area . but there will 'be no restrictions • or censorship placed on the type of programs aii'ed. The public will simply he free to program its own ideas. o "We don't want the people to he perfect or attempt to com- pete with the CBC,''. Mr. Davey safd. "PeOPle • .ruin programs when they try ' for perfection. These will he amateur produc- tioni:s and people, willhave to learn to he themselves."
