from a self -bow. Her shoulder -
length veil of nylon and silk net
was held in place with a 'mat-
ching
'wedding band headpiece
and she carried. a colonial
bouquet of white °and pit*
chrysanthemum.
Miss Betty Wraith, friend ..of.
the bride of Goderich, was
maid of .honor and Miss Kathy
Alton, sister of the groom was
bridesmaid. The flo.wergirl was
Miss Laura Collins, Marlette,
Michigan„ cousin of the bride
and 'the train -bearer was
Master Patrick Garner of Lon-
don, cousin of the bride.
The maid of , honour;
bridesmaid and the flowergirl
were all dressed alike in floor -
length gowns of turquoise
flowered' polyester chiffon over
taffeta and 'carried colonial
bouquets of' deep yellow
chrysanthemums.
Groomsman was Gordon
Gray of Wingha"m, friend of the
groom, and the ushers were
Norman, Robertson brother of
the bride, and Gordon Gray of
Wingham.

Mrs, 'Marie Johnston,
Wingham when the staff of the
Wingham nursing home gave
her a bridal shower.

The October 4tneeting of the
afternoon unit of North Street
United Church was held in the
church parlor under the leader-
ship of Mrs. S. .Jefferson and
her group. .,
.The Thanksgiving theme was
followed. Mrs. J.G. Ross,
presid,ecl at the piano for the
hymns. Scripture readings and
prayer were taken by Mrs. Jean
McKenzie.
Mrs. 5. Jefferson spoke on
"Confidence -*a way to express
thanks!” The escapades of her
retarded cat poindted up a
multitude of ways in which
citizens may give thanks.
"As we give thanks for our
bounties we grow and in-
crease", she ,said.
Mrs. i),D. Money in-
troduced the guest of the after-
noon, Mrs. F. Fingland of Clin-
ton. Using her collection of
dolls in native costume, Mrs.
Fingland tool members with
her on her travels to the
various homelands.
Her personal comments on.
the people and conditions of
the .countries she has visited
were4nost _ 'interesting.
