Six die in fire which
started unnoticed
in -a sofa .cushion
Careless .smoking and
alcohol, were the root.
causes that led to six
deaths—four children Wand
two adults -in a recent
fire. • Investigators said
there was considerable al-`
cohol in the adults' blood-
stream and a lit cigarette
appeared' to have been
dropped behind a sofa
cushion.
