MF. and Mrs. Donald Simp-
son recently returned from a
trip to Western Canada and
were honored by friends and
neighbours on Saturday
evening on the occasion of their
25th wedding anniversary. •

school this week, for others it

the Hackett children.
Mark Johnston of Detroit
spent a few holidays with his
uncle bind' aunt, Mr. and Mrs.
Duncan Fairish. David Irrish,
who played hockey for Sud-
bury, last winter spent a few
days at - his home during the
past week. °
Dan Wylds has a beautiful
garden, again this year and has
been most generous in giving
vegetables to friends and neigh-
. hours.
It's been a busy. week or two
for Mr. and Mrs. Oliver
McCharles who are out judging
at fairs and flower shows
throughout the .area.

A white elephant sale was
conducted by Mrs. 'Maudie
McBride and Mrs. Mavis
Fisher, proceeds to go ta, over-
seas 'missions.
Plans were madeto hold a
fowl supper on October 30.
A thank -you letter was read
by Mrs,McBride from the Fred
